Accelerated Transfer Program (ATP)
ATP will not be available for 2009-2010
GHC opens in Douglas County, Fall 2009
Thank you for your interest in Georgia Highlands College and the
Accelerated Transfer Program. GHC and its partner University of West
Georgia have reviewed the program while focusing on the best interests
of our students academically. A unanimous decision was made to
terminate ATP after the conclusion of Summer 2009. GHC’s
presence at UWG has been an excellent experience and our partnership
will not change.
In fact,
GHC continues its partnership with UWG at a new GHC site open in
Douglasville for the Fall 2009 semester. GHC offers a variety of core curriculum courses toward an associate’s
degree there. UWG will provide junior- and senior-level courses leading to
selected baccalaureate degrees as well as graduate degree work offered
through the College of Education and the Richards College of Business.
GHC will remain an access institution, provide educational advising
and maintain transfer ability to any four-year institution.
The philosophy of Georgia Highlands College is expressed in the
