- If you currently living in a dorm, look at ResLife for dates the halls open and close, as well as related information
The Residence Life office at the University of West Georgia has provided the following e-mail address for ATP students to use when inquiring about housing at UWG:
Paying for Housing at the University of West Georgia
If you choose to live in a UWG dorm, the contract that you sign for
housing and meal plans is between you and UWG. Housing and
meal plan bills cannot be paid to Georgia Highlands College.
You'll need to contact Student Financial Services at UWG to pay for those.
If you do not pay your housing or meal plan bill with the University of West Georgia, you will not be able to register for classes that you need from Georgia Highlands.
Applying Financial Aid to Housing Costs at the University of
West Georgia
As an ATP student, you receive your financial aid awards through
Georgia Highlands College. No money from your financial aid
award is automatically transferred to the University of West Georgia
to cover housing costs.
Financial aid money is first applied to your tuition and fees with
Georgia Highlands. If money is left over from the financial aid
award, a refund check is mailed to the address that GHC has on
file for you. Many students make the mistake of spending the
refund money before paying their housing bills. Do not do this!
FIRST be sure that your housing bill is paid. Ask the folks at
Student Financial Services
whether you owe any money for housing or meal
plans.
