COMPASS Windows
The University System of Georgia and Georgia Highlands College use COMPASS for Windows as a placement test for most new students. Some students with high SAT or ACT scores do not need to take this test, but every student who has College Preparatory Curriculum (CPC) deficiencies in Math or English is required to take it. (CPC deficiencies are explained in the General Academic Information section of the GHC Catalog.) If you are a non-traditional student, you will take this test before being placed into classes in your first semester at Georgia Highlands College.
