Areas of Study: Human Communications and Introductory Sociology

Spend 12 days touring Sydney, Coffs Harbour, Surfers Paradise, Frazer Island, and Brisbane. Earn up to six credit hours. This program allows students the opportunity to take part in Maymester classes, Human Communications and/or Introductory Sociology, and participate in a 12-day tour of Australia. Tour highlights include tours of Sydney's historic Rock's area, the famous Sydney Opera House and a scenic cruise through beautiful Sydney Harbour, Surfers Paradise Rainforest Ecotour, Blue Mountains, Frazer Island Ecotour. Visits include an opal factory, Sydney Tower, Sydney Wildlife World, and Bond University.

In Country Study Dates: COMM 1100 - May 13th and June Semester SOCI 1101 - Maymester/Hybrid in class dates: May, 13th, 14th, 15th and June 3rd
Study in Australia Dates: May 18 – 30, 2009

Courses offered include Human Communications (COMM 1100) and Introductory Sociology (SOCI 1101). Classes will be enriched by taking part in the optional study abroad program in Australia. Program departs on May 18 with a return date of May 30. Students may choose to enroll in one or both classes in order to earn up to six credit hours. Traditional scholarships including the HOPE Scholarship can be applied to the cost of tuition. Additional scholarships to assist with the cost of the program in Australia may also be available.

Approximate price for the Australia Program is $4,000-$4,300 depending on your age and the date you sign up.
