Ghost story drawing – Sketches This project (broken down into three main sections) focuses on developing the creative process from inspiration and development to completion and revision. First choose a ghost story or folk-tale that seems to present you with a strong visual image. There will be books of ghost stories on reserve in the library, find one that you like and make a copy to bring to class. For the first homework assignment, make five sketches of your visual interpretation of the story. Sketches can be of five different subjects, or five versions of the same subject. Sketches need to be fully thought-out: know the balance of the piece, the area of emphasis, etc. Sketches can illustrate one part of the story, or try to symbolize the mood of the whole tale.
