The On-Campus SAT

the ISAT)
Due to the addition of the fast track nursing program which has a Sept. 15 application deadline, the Assessment Centers at Cartersville and Rome will now give an On-Campus SAT (ISAT) in August for students applying for that program. The newly added August, 2008 testing dates are:
Cartersville, August 26, 1 p.m. , Room 113
Rome, August 28, 9 a.m., testing center (in Library).
REGISTRATION DEADLINE FOR AUGUST TEST: AUGUST 1, 5 P.M.
To register you should go to the business office and fill out an ISAT test request form, pay business office the testing fee. Bring a copy of your paid receipt and a picture ID to check in for test.
The next Spring On-Campus SAT will be given in February and/or March of 2009 to meet nursing program's February and March application deadlines. Check this web site again in December or January to see Spring testing dates or check the Spring, 2009 class schedule bulletin to get more information, registration deadline and testing date(s).
To register for the on-campus ISAT you may pick up a registration form from the Assessment Center, Accounting Services Office or at our satellite offices. You must pay a $40* non-refundable test fee at our business office by the registration deadline.

Students should report to the testing site at least 15 minutes before test time and must bring a picture ID, paid registration receipt, two #2 pencils, and a calculator if desired. Student must have a valid picture ID and paid receipt to be admitted to testing room.
The On-Campus SAT is offered for students who have not taken the national SAT or ACT or are trying to raise their SAT scores to qualify for admission into the clinical portion of a health sciences program or any other degree program here at GHC. In general, the scores for the On-Campus SAT are used only at GHC. Transcript service from The College Board is not available for this test. Students who have taken the On-Campus SAT at an institutional testing center (generally from another University System of Georgia unit) may not take it again without special permission of the Test Administrator.
Students needing special accommodations must self identify by contacting the Access Center to allow for timely processing of their request.
