The On-Campus SAT is offered as an "emergency" test given just before nursing/dental hygiene application deadlines. The On-Campus SAT may be taken only once in a 3 year period.
To Register for On Campus SAT: Before the deadline listed above, go to the accounting services/business office at a GHC campus/site to fill out an On Campus SAT test request form. Be sure to list the testing date and the campus at which you will take your test (Floyd, Cartersville, or Marietta). Pay the business office the $40 NON-REFUNDABLE, NON-TRANSFERABLE testing fee and keep a copy of your receipt.
On testing date bring your picture ID and a copy of paid receipt to check in at the testing site you indicated on registration form. A test will not be ordered for those who did not pay by the registration deadline. If you miss the test for which you registered, you cannot transfer your payment to a future test.
Students should report to the testing site at least 15 minutes before test time and must bring a picture ID, paid registration receipt, two #2 pencils, and a calculator if desired. Student must have a valid picture ID and paid receipt to be admitted to testing room. The test lasts approximately 4 hours.
In general, the scores for the On-Campus SAT are used only at GHC and other colleges are not required to accept these scores. Transcript service from The College Board is not available for the On Campus version of test. Students who have taken the On-Campus SAT at an institutional testing center (generally from another University System of Georgia unit) may not take it again without special permission of the Test Administrator. Students may take the On-Campus SAT only once in a 3 year period.
Students needing special accommodations must self identify by contacting the Access Center to allow for timely processing of their request.
