Exemption Testing
The only exemption test administered in the Assessment Center is for FCCS 1100. The FCCS 1100 exemption test has multiple parts. You will complete a paper and pencil based multiple choice test. If you score 80% or above on the multiple choice test, you will complete a computer-based test to demonstrate your level of proficiency with basic computer skills, email, internet/Galileo searches, MS Word, and Power Point.
If you pass the FCCS 1100 exemption test, you do not receive the 2 credit hours for taking the test. You simply do not have to take the FCCS 1100 course. However, depending on your program of study, you may need to take another course (usually IDIS) to complete the Area B Concentration requirement for that program of study.
All other exemption tests are administered by the department offering the course you wish to exempt. Please contact the departments directly for more information or to schedule a test.
