Exam
If you are enrolled in a learning support 099 course and have a grade of C or better you must take and pass the Compass Exit Exam to exit the course. You must present your picture ID to check in at testing room. No fee is charged for taking the exit exam.

Exceptions for Reading 099: If your Compass Reading Placement score at GHC was 77, 78, or 79 you are not required to take the Reading 099 exit exam.
You may sit for the exam only if your instructor has indicated that you are eligible to take the test. Your instructor will provide the assessment center with a list of those students eligible for the exit exam. See additional information at bottom of page.
This is a crucial test for you as you try to exit learning support. Please make necessary arrangements to ensure you sit for this exam at your assigned testing date/time.
Special permission must be granted for testing outside the regular exit test schedule. Students not showing up to take the required exit exam due to an emergency or extreme hardship must contact the Chair of Academic Support , Dr. Diane Langston. The Chair will evaluate your request and if late testing is approved, will forward permission to the Assessment Center Coordinator. No retest is available for students testing outside regularly scheduled exit exams.
YOU MAY TAKE YOUR REQUIRED PART(S) OF EXIT EXAM ONCE ON A SCHEDULED TEST DATE. IF YOU DO NOT PASS YOUR FIRST ATTEMPT, YOU ARE ELIGIBLE FOR ONE MORE ATTEMPT ON RETEST DATE. YOU MAY NOT TAKE ANY PORTION OF THE EXIT EXAM MORE THAN ONCE ON A GIVEN DAY. THE HEAD/DIRECTOR OF LEARNING SUPPORT DEPARTMENT WILL BE NOTIFIED OF STUDENTS ATTEMPTING TO TAKE ANY PORTION(S) OF THE TEST MORE THAN ONCE ON A TESTING DATE.
