Expected Outcome: The number of faculty available to teach a distance learning course will increase.

Outcome Assessment: Faculty will be surveyed electronically as to their willingness to teach a distance learning class through Extended Learning.

Performance Targets:

Primary Target:  Two faculty members who have never taught a distance course via the extended learning department will offer classes.

Secondary Target: 100% of the faculty will become aware of the options available to them to teach via the extended learning department.

Summary of Data Collected (Performance Results): Primary: Division chairs were electronically surveyed and informed of times available for courses offered via GHTV. Information was relayed to faculty through the division chairs which resulted in two faculty members, who had never taught a distance course, agreeing to offer courses.

Secondary: 100% of division chairs received electronic information related to extended learning teaching options, who then passed the information on to 100% of their faculty members.

Recommended Actions: Due to a high number of new faculty hires each year, information now goes out twice a year to inform faculty of distance education opportunities.
