Cooperative Degree Oversight Committee

Georgia Highlands College maintains cooperative degree programs with two technical colleges -- North Metro Technical College (NMTC) and Coosa Valley Technical College (CVTC). In these arrangements GHC provides the general education component and the technical colleges provide the technical course component.

Two Cooperative Degree Oversight Committees (CDOCs) (one for the program with CVTC and one for the program with NMTC) provide general oversight for the programs. Each committee is made up of representatives from the technical college in question and GHC. The CDOCs meet each semester to review their respective programs. Some of the tasks of the CDOCs are to examine the components of each degree program, validate faculty credentials, review assessment activities and maintain an ongoing program review cycle.
