Emergency Closing Notices
Any bad weather-closing announcement will be placed as a scrolling message on the Georgia Highlands College home (web) page, and recorded on campus answering machines unless power outages eliminate those options. Class cancellations on the Rome, Cartersville, Acworth, and Marietta campuses due to bad weather will be made by the administration and announced on local radio stations and on WXIA-TV, Ch. 11 in Atlanta. Georgia Highlands College at NMTC will close when NMTC closes. The President may cancel classes at other times as well, if necessary. If so, announcements will be made on local radio stations and on WXIA-TV, Ch. 11.
